Hello! I'm an interdisciplinary artist from New York City currently based in Glasgow, Scotland. I primarily work with sonic arts, audiovisual installations, and poetry. I graduated summa cum laude from Kenyon College with a major in English/creative writing and a minor in studio art, and received my master’s degree from the Glasgow School of Art in Sound for the Moving Image. My practice is strongly grounded in research, with much of it focused on the intersections & interactions between gender theory, ecological theory, and analog synthesis & music technology. My hobbies include spending time in libraries and perusing listings for vintage synthesizers on Facebook Marketplace. Under the moniker Juno Lev, I've also gained a small (but passionate!) fanbase for my indie pop tracks since 2020. I've racked up a few million streams across platforms, have headlined iconic New York City venues including Mercury Lounge and Rockwood Music Hall, and have been profiled twice in NPR (and was a judge’s top pick for 2023’s NPR Tiny Desk Contest). If you're interested in reading my poetry chapbook, want book recommendations, or have a general inquiry, I can be reached at jacklevbraun@proton.me
